Manny has become a legend inside the ring. He will go down as one of the greatest boxers of all-time after winning 7 world titles in 7 different weight classes; A feat that nobody else has done in the history of boxing.
A fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr could potentially be one of the greatest fights in the last 25 years. A victory by either man would put the exclamation point on boxing immortality. It could also draw the largest American attendance for a boxing match and break the all-time PPV buys record.
Floyd would provide Manny with a tough match-up but would it be tougher than Manny’s political fight with Roy Chiongbian?
Roy Chiongbian
Roy comes from a family of politicians who have been entrenched in political power for decades. Roy’s father, mother, brother, and nephew have all held political office. Chiongbian has the power, connections, and money to match up against Manny’s popularity and finances.
Unlike Mayweather, Roy shows no signs of fear in facing Manny. He thinks Manny belongs in the ring like many fans of the PacMan do.

I for one would rather see Manny keep fighting. But, I can’t fault a man for wanting to improve his homeland. I can’t fault a man for wanting to help his fellow countrymen. However, sincere intentions and a large fan-base don’t guarantee Pacquiao a victory in the political arena.
Manny is not just going up against Roy; he’s going up against a family of power and political dynasty. It’s not a fight between 2 competitors like in a boxing match. In the ring, it’s Floyd vs. Manny. However, in politics, it’s more complicated. Manny has to fight Roy Chiongbian and everything that comes with the Chiongbian family name. All the history, alliances, money, power, and success that the Chiongbian family has compiled will be hitting Pacquiao from all angles as he does his opponents in the ring.
To me this is a no-brainer; Manny’s skills are as a boxer. He’s an all-time great who can and will beat Floyd if they ever fight. Manny isn’t a politician and I don’t believe he has the skills to defeat Roy Chiongbian.
